MELLOWFIELDS FARM EMPLOYMENT -  Summer Harvest and Packhouse Crew Member

We are seeking an individual to join our fast paced, fun-loving team to assist with the harvest, washing, and packing of orders in the height of our growing season. This is a part-time, seasonal position. The candidate should be interested in increasing their skills and knowledge of local food production. Candidates with experience working in food related or physical jobs outdoors (farming, restaurants, landscaping, construction, etc.) will be given preference. 

Work Requirements
• Start date is May 16th

• Typical work day is 7-8 hours with a paid 30 minute lunch. Start and end times may fluctuate with the season.
• 20-30 hours per week, May 15th - August 19th (summer position only), weekly schedule TBD.

Possible Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in the harvesting, washing and packing of produce.

• Participate in planting, greenhouse work, and field tasks (as needed)

• Potential to participate in Saturday farmers market

 

Qualifications

• Experience in outdoor/food service/physically focused job preferred, but not necessary

• Positive and energetic disposition with strong interpersonal skills

• Punctuality and strong time management skills

• Strong back with the ability to regularly lift heavy and awkward objects

• Fast learner and ability to adapt to new tasks and working with new people

• Ability to take direction, accept constructive feedback, and ask for help when needed​

Compensation
• Starting pay: $13.00/hr, based on experience

• Direct Deposit, 2x/month
