We are seeking an individual to join our fast paced, fun-loving team to assist with our Farmers Market stand on Saturday mornings during the market season.  This is a part-time, seasonal position, the candidate should be interested in providing excellent customer service and increasing their knowledge of local food production. Candidates with experience working in food related or sales positions will be given preference. 

Work Requirements

• Work day is 5:30 am-12:30 pm, 7 hours per week, May 7th - October 29th (Saturdays only)

Duties and Responsibilities​

• Drive farm van to and from market (1 mile away)

• Set up and breakdown of farmers market stand

• Keeping the stand well stocked throughout the market

• Making sales and assisting customers with produce and farm-related questions

• Attention to detail

• An eye for attractive displays

• Strong mental math skills
• Positive and energetic disposition with strong interpersonal skills

• Early morning punctuality and strong time management skills
• Strong back with the ability to regularly lift heavy and awkward objects
• Ability to work well in both a team setting and independently
• Fast learner and ability to adapt to working with new people
• Ability to take direction, accept constructive feedback and ask for help when needed
• Ability to work in all weather conditions

Compensation
• $15.00/hr, plus 2% commission on sales

• Direct deposit payments 2x/month
